百年奥运，中国梦想
奥运对我，是神圣的，当那圣火穿越云雾，奋力燃烧之时；当五湖四海的人们为了同一个高尚的目标聚集时；当国歌响起全体肃穆时，奥运，是种精神！它鼓舞着上至国王贵族，下至贫民百姓，要拼搏！要奋斗！要坚强！是奥运，告诉我，竞争的背后是友谊！只要圣火燃着，友谊之光就不会熄灭。从遥远的奥林匹亚，燃烧到今天；从古老的希腊文明，燃烧到了现代的都市文明；从崇尚和平的顾拜旦，燃烧到了果断机警的罗格。
圣火在，激情就在！圣火在，和平就在！圣火在，希望就在！
还记得2001年7月的那个深夜吗？那是全球华人的不眠之夜。从一片死寂的等待到突然间热血的奔腾，是一种极大的“落差”惊醒了内心中那只让人振奋而又彪悍的“睡狮”。一种无法名状的感觉，一种无法掩饰的喜悦，是龙的血液在沸腾，是整个中华在燃烧！多少屈辱，多少泪水，中国等待这个光荣太久了!
于是，我梦想着，被健儿守护着的火炬能登上珠穆朗玛峰，让奥运在世界巅峰看到中国多么辽阔，多么美丽；我梦想着被精英紧握的火炬能到达华尔街，硅谷让奥运感受到商业的讯号；我梦想着火炬能穿越加勒比海，百慕大，那是最纯洁也是最神圣的自然之美，再伴着骆驼的脚步沿着丝绸之路走向撒哈拉，那是宇宙最荒寒最辽阔的广袤；我梦想着火炬能穿越战火，用爱的火点燃希望的曙光，让和平的光芒永远笼罩世界的每一个角落，由黑暗到光明，由纷乱到和平，这是一种多么漫长而神圣的灵魂洗礼，是奥运带来的思想的升华！
百年奥运，中国梦想！奥运精神，是田径场上那冲向终点的矫健步伐。运动员怀着对胜利的希望，点燃拼搏的激情，在万众聚焦的目光下，在如雷贯耳的欢呼声中，创造那感动世界的历史时刻。
百年奥运，中国梦想！奥运精神，是那高高在上的颁奖台。它蕴藏着一段段不为人知的苦难经历；托起一个个世人瞩目的焦点。它承载着一幕幕光辉闪耀的历史；迎接着一颗颗明日璀璨夺目的新星！
百年奥运，中国梦想！奥运精神，是伴着嘹亮的《义勇军进行曲》冉冉升起的五星红旗。它是我们的骄傲，是我们的自豪。它点燃了中华民族的激情，升起了中华民族的希望，更用它的鲜艳光芒照亮了中华民族的前方！

A Scene to look forward to
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
To begin with, I want to share a story with you. There was an old man who traveled all around the world to introduce China for the Olympic Games bid. That special difficult experience had rooted in his mind. After hearing the good news that China had succeeded in the bid for hosting the 29th Olympic Games, he was so excited that he could not stop shedding tears no matter how hard he tried . He said he had been waiting for the day since 1993 and the wonderful event would finally happen in China. The man is Mr. He Zhenliang, who has devoted much of his spare time to the Chinese Olympic bid. It is with his spirit, passion, courage and strong sense of patriotism to China that we are taking our next step into the world. So now, I would like to share my feelings about the Beijing Olympic Games with you, as A Scene to Look Forward to.
Ladies and gentlemen, do you still remember the memorable moment when Mr. Samaranch, the former President of the International Olympic Committee, announced in Moscow that the host city for the 29th Olympic Games would be Beijing. This unforgettable moment still lingers in my mind clearly! Just at the same time in China, the excitement rippled through the Olympic conference room into the city of Beijing and indeed into the whole nation. The Chinese, both abroad and at home, celebrated the great success in various ways, hugging each other, jumping up and down, crying, drinking, singing, dancing and parading on the streets throughout the night. Modern China, a product of 5000 years of civilization and history, with her spirit of hard work and perseverance, at last shook hands with the Olympic Games, finally fulfilling our long expected dream.
Now , the one-year countdown has been marked, Chinese people are getting ready for this big event. The Beijing organizing committee of the Olympic Games is keeping the promises made in the bid. Under the guidance of the concept of the green Olympics, the hi-tech Olympics and the people’s Olympics, the 29th Olympic Games will emphasize communication, enhance cooperation, and firmly place China at the forefront of world affairs.
As a college student, I want to stress one point “national participation”. Let us, common citizens, strongly realize our own responsibilities: planting more trees to cover the space, driving less to relieve traffic jams and making full use of energy to reduce pollution . All these actions will not only improve our living environment, but also benefit our following generations. Next year on August 8th, Beijing will witness the world’s greatest sporting event, will bring Olympic values to one-fifth of the world’s population, will be one of the most exciting projects in Olympic history. Beijing, a main attraction to tourists, will stretch its hands to give the world’s people a warm welcome, and all the guests will be deeply impressed with China’s state-of-the-art venues, comfortable city environments, enthusiastic volunteers and overwhelming public interest.
So ladies and gentlemen, no matter who we are, what we do, where we go, in our mind, there’s always a scene to look forward to , a scene well worth waiting for. Let’s get ready to make the 2008 Olympic Games the most successful event in modern Chinese history!
